IIT-SINE, Indian Institutes of Technology Society in New England

proudly host Dr. Swaraj Paul as Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker at 
IIT-SINE's inaugural meeting on April 21, 1994 at 7:00 PM in MIT, Room 9-150.

Dr. Paul is one of India's most sucessful global entrepreneurs.  He is Chairman
of Caparo Group Ltd. in U.K., a private holding company which he started, with
annual sales of $600 Million and employing 4000 people in the U.K., U.S. and 
Spain.  Dr. Paul established his first company, Natural Gas Tubes Ltd. in 
Huntington, U.K. in 1968 and over the years has diversified his enterprises
into engineering, automobile component manufacturing, and financial 
investments.

Dr. Paul has also fostered the cultural connection between peoples of the West
and India.  He has received numerous awards including the Padma Bhushan by 
the Government of India in 1983, the Honory Doctorate in Economics by the 
Universtiy of Hull in 1992 and the Corporate Leadership Award by M.I.T. 
in 1987.

Dr. Paul's speech, entitled "Entrepreneurship in a Competitive Society"
is especially timely as we witness the rapid changes in the world economy
and entrepreneurship becomes increasingly important for survival and
success.  We look forward to a stimulating evening of mutual interaction
and networking, and hope you can join us. 

The schedule for April 21st in room 9-150 will be as follows:

6:00 PM:  Social Hour  (Indian refreshments will be available)
7:00 PM:  Keynote Speech
8:30 PM:  Dinner at Bombay Club in Harvard Square, Cambridge 

The social hour and lecture are free and open to everyone.
The dinner costs $25 and is optional.  To reserve a seat for dinner,
