Beta Version 3.10d

This directory contains a beta version of Proteus for Sparc-based Suns.
This version installs on either Mips or Sparc and subsumes all previous
mips versions; thus it is really only beta for the sparcs.

If you INSTALL this version please send me mail so that I can update you
regarding fixes and known bugs.  TELL ME WHICH VERSION YOU COPIED,
in particular, the lowercase letter following "beta-3.10".

I expect this version to work with either gcc 2.0+ or acc, but it has
had limited testing with gcc only been able to test it with acc.  It looks
like everything should work fine
with gcc except possibly for some augment bugs.  If you use gcc2 and
encounter augment bugs (including undefined externals _current_time_,
_counting_on_, and _counting_off_), send me the input .s file.

The engine code is now exactly the same as the mips and thus should be
pretty stable.

The initial Sparc port was done by Karsten Verbeurgt and Bruce Chalmers
of DREV in Canada.  Much thanks to them.
